London’s leading premium pub and dining group Urban Pubs & Bars opened their latest modern British pub and kitchen with VIP guests - Red Setter dogs!
The grand opening of The Red Setter located in the vibrant Northcote Road community between Battersea and Clapham was packed with guests and their dogs.
The venue has undergone a £1m refurbishment and building programme and is the latest part of the company’s expansion plans.
The Red Setter team have created a diverse menu that showcases the best of British culinary craftsmanship, offering everything from indulgent brunches to start the day, expertly mixed cocktails to unwind in the evening, and sumptuous roasts every Sunday, ensuring a perfect end to the week.
The Red Setter, a five minute walk from Clapham Junction train station, is the latest gem in the Urban Pubs & Bars collection, a leading leisure group which operates 42 pubs, bars and restaurants across London.
The latest pub has been designed to offer a welcoming atmosphere combined with a selection of fine food and drinks synonymous with the high standards of Urban Pubs & Bars; an ideal spot for casual get-togethers, special celebrations, or simply a relaxing meal out for locals or those just passing through.
Inside you will find a modern British pub and kitchen with spaces for dining and drinks.
The Red Setter pub, which has created more than twenty new jobs, opened its doors for previews on Thursday March 28 followed by last night’s special VIP opening event on April 4.
To celebrate the opening Urban Pubs & Bars urged owners of Red Setter dogs and other dogs to join the launch to create a special image of the distinctive dogs standing proudly outside.
As a dog friendly pub and in close proximity to the world famous Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, 50p from every Sunday Roast will be donated to the animal charity.

Urban Pubs & Bars was founded in 2014 by Nick Pring and Malc Heap and has grown to an estate of 42 pubs, bars and restaurants across London, including the acquisition and growth of the Salt Yard Group.
In 2018 Urban Pubs & Bars was ranked number 28 in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 list, recognising Britain's private companies with the fastest-growing sales. The Company was then nominated for two Publican Awards in 2020, winning the award for ‘Best Managed Pub Company - 2-50 sites’ on the night. In 2021, Urban was awarded 'Best Food-led Pub Company 2021' at the R200 awards. Most recently, Urban once again won ‘Best Managed Pub Company - 2-50 sites’ at the Publican Awards in 2023.
